"Fintech Career Journey" helps 99ok123ers shape their career path in Financial Technology

The field of Financial Technology (Fintech) is currently one of the fastest-growing industries with high demand for talent. To help students gain practical insights and better define their career paths in this sector, on the evening of April 14, the Faculty of Finance – Accounting organized the workshop titled “Fintech Career Journey – Exploring the Career Landscape”.

Capturing Fintech trends, 99ok123ers prepare for future career opportunities.

The program was attended by MA. Nguyễn Thanh Lâm – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Finance – Accounting, MA. Lê Đình Thắng – lecturer from the Faculty, along with a large number of Fintech students from various cohorts. Joining as a guest speaker was Mr. Trần Nguyễn Nguyên Thanh – Digital Transformation Expert at Asia Commercial Bank (ACB), who brings extensive practical experience in banking and technology.

In the opening presentation, the speaker provided an overview of the Fintech industry both domestically and internationally, analyzing key development trends and growth potential over the next 3–5 years. Real-world examples illustrated how Fintech has become an integral part of the modern financial ecosystem, driving strong demand for high-quality human resources. This represents a significant opportunity for students pursuing the field, while also setting higher standards for their competencies and adaptability.

From a career perspective, the speaker outlined two primary development paths for students: deepening technical expertise in research, analysis, and product development, or focusing on management and operations by applying finance-technology knowledge in business activities. Both paths require thorough preparation in specialized knowledge, professional skills, and continuous technology updates.

The speaker also highlighted the importance of building a strong professional foundation, combining soft skills, innovative thinking, and a serious work ethic. In the fast-changing Fintech environment, professional ethics and adaptability are essential for sustainable career development.

Their inquiries were answered in detail by the speaker and MA. Lê Đình Thắng, helping students gain clearer and more practical perspectives.
