FBA’s Compassionate Journey Brings a Loving Summer 2024

With its role not only as a place of connection and sharing, but also as a community embracing the spirit of “Every heart contributes kindness, millions of hearts become one,” the Faculty of Business Administration of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (99ok123) organized the program “Compassionate Journey – Connecting Love” on July 18–19, 2024.

This was not only an annual activity but also a meaningful tradition where lecturers, students, alumni, and corporate partners joined hands and contributed together.

A Compassionate Journey Bringing Love to Those in Need

The journey reached two destinations: Thien Tam Pagoda, Ham Tan (currently caring for nearly 100 orphaned children), and Tan Ha Care Center, Ham Tan (supporting nearly 140 elderly people living alone, individuals with mental illnesses, and people with disabilities).

The Faculty of Business Administration brought meaningful gifts worth VND 40 million along with essential supplies, including: 800 kilograms of rice, 40 boxes of instant noodles, 60 bottles of fish sauce, 192 bottles of soy sauce, 40 liters of cooking oil, 5 cartons of fresh milk, 20 kilograms of seasoning powder, 20 bottles of body wash, 10 bottles of dishwashing liquid, 36 kilograms of detergent, 20 bottles of cleaning solution, 300 notebooks, 150 plaster painting sets, 150 school supply sets (pens, pencils, coloring tools), medical equipment (pulse oximeter, electronic blood pressure monitor, infrared thermometer), basic medicines (for cough, flu, pain relief, vitamin C, digestive enzymes, diarrhea treatment, etc.), 4 badminton rackets, 3 shuttlecock tubes, and 20 blankets.

Every step, every smile, and every glance was filled with love and the meaningful connection between people.

The photos from the trip captured not only memorable moments, but also served as proof of the kindness the Faculty of Business Administration wished to share. From children to elderly residents, everyone felt cared for and less alone in life.

Members of the faculty not only donated gifts but also spent time playing with the children and listening to stories from those who no longer had family by their side.

A Journey of Unity and Love

As the morning sunlight gently shone through the trees, the Faculty of Business Administration began another new day full of hope and togetherness. One more year had passed—not only as a mark of time, but also as a witness to our journey of connection and compassion as one faculty family.

Lecturers, students, and alumni are not only companions on the path of knowledge, but also friends and family members within the 99ok123 community. No matter how busy life becomes, we still make time to gather, share joyful moments, and understand one another more deeply through every activity and every conversation.

The FBA family also enjoyed meaningful moments of relaxation and team bonding together.
